Next time around whenever that is, I may go with a USA Custom Guitars 25" scale neck to get just a little more tension. The first one in the photo below is a MIM Fender Standard Tele with a Musikraft one-piece maple, 25 1/8" (25.125) conversion neck (prototype), and the bottom one is a MIM Fender '72 Reissue Thinline Tele with Warmoth 24 3/4" (24.75) conversion neck, Pau Ferro on Maple. In my experience replacing a Highway 1 Tele neck with a Warmoth 24.75" conversion neck, THERE WAS A HUGE LOSS OF TONE. That thing played like a dog after 2 professional set ups from established luthiers. Not a knock on Warmoth, the neck was extremely high quality. I would HIGHLY recommend Anderson Short Ts. The Squier Vintage Modified Thinline Tele has 24.75" scale. I have no idea why, but it feels weird!

Here's my ESP Custom Tele w/ 24.5 or 24.75 scale loaded with Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates made in the mid-80's. It has coil tap w/ Ebony board. The neck shape is b/w a 59 LP and 60's ES-335. Truly, a one of a kind. I want to get one of those Telesonics too! So, on a 24.75" conversion neck, the nut will be 24.75" from the bridge saddles, and the 12th fret will be 12.375" from the nut- putting it 12.375" from the bridge as well. The problem with just putting the neck from a 24.75" guitar onto a body from a 25.5" one is that the bridge is probably located in a different spot, and, when installed, the distance between the nut and bridge won't actually be 24.75".
