Next time around whenever that is, I may go with a USA Custom Guitars 25" scale neck to get just a little more tension. The first one in the photo below is a MIM Fender Standard Tele with a Musikraft one-piece maple, 25 1/8" (25.125) conversion neck (prototype), and the bottom one is a MIM Fender '72 Reissue Thinline Tele with Warmoth 24 3/4" (24.75) conversion neck, Pau Ferro on Maple. In my experience replacing a Highway 1 Tele neck with a Warmoth 24.75" conversion neck, THERE WAS A HUGE LOSS OF TONE. That thing played like a dog after 2 professional set ups from established luthiers. Not a knock on Warmoth, the neck was extremely high quality. I would HIGHLY recommend Anderson Short Ts. The Squier Vintage Modified Thinline Tele has 24.75" scale. I have no idea why, but it feels weird!

The problem with just putting the neck from a 24.75" guitar onto a body from a 25.5" one is that the bridge is probably located in a different spot, and, when installed, the distance between the nut and bridge won't actually be 24.75".

Hey guys, I'm in this mindset of trying to get a strat setup with a 24.75" scale.
